Ryan Milcarek is an Associate Professor in the School for Engineering of Matter, Transport and Energy (SEMTE) at Arizona State University (ASU). He obtained his B.S., M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from the Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Department at Syracuse University. He also obtained a M.S. degree in energy systems engineering, certificate of advanced study in sustainable enterprise and certificate in university teaching during his graduate studies. His research is focused on energy management, energy transition, solid oxide fuel cells, energy storage and synthesis of hydrogen. He has served as the PI or Co-PI on several research and education projects funded by the U.S. DOE, the NSF, the ONR, the USDA, and industry, with total research funding over $11 M. Dr. Milcarek is a recent recipient of the Top 5% Teaching Award from the Fulton Schools of Engineering.
