Wu Yuping, second-level professor, doctoral supervisor, fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry, and corresponding member of the Saxon Academy of Sciences. He graduated from the Institute of Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 1997 with a doctorate degree. He then worked at Tsinghua University, Waseda University in Japan, and Chemnitz University of Technology in Germany (Humboldt Scholar) for nearly 2 years each. In 2003 , he became a professor at the Department of Chemistry, Fudan University, and in 2015 , he became a professor at Nanjing University of Technology . In October 2021 , he joined Southeast University. In 2004 and 2007 , he was awarded the "Science and Technology Rising Star" by the Shanghai Science and Technology Commission, and in 2014 , he was awarded the National Outstanding Youth Fund. He has published more than 500 academic papers with an H-index of 106+; he has written 10 monographs on lithium batteries, with sales of more than 50,000 copies; and he has obtained 31 authorized invention patents in China, the United States, and Japan . In 2014 , he was awarded the title of "National Outstanding Young Scientist" and was selected as "Global Highly Cited Scientist " for many times. In 2015 , he was named " The World's Most Influential Scientific Research Elite " by Thomson Reuters from " Global Highly Cited Scientist " . He served as the editor-in-chief of Energy Materials, the deputy editor-in-chief of Energy & Environmental Materials, and the editorial board member of some other publications. He is mainly engaged in the research and development of energy storage such as lithium-ion batteries and their key materials, supercapacitors, and aqueous batteries.
