Abdul Majeed Muzathik

Muzathik is a Mechanical Engineer and Professor at South Eastern University of Sri Lanka, specializing in energy engineering and renewable energy technologies. He earned his Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1990, a Master's Degree in Energy Technology with a focus on Building Energy from the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka, in 2004, and a PhD in Renewable Energy from the University Malaysia Terengganu, Malaysia, in 2011.
Since joining the faculty in 2004, he has been actively engaged in teaching and research, with a particular emphasis on energy technology. His scholarly contributions are reflected in an H-index of 16, with 85 research papers published in indexed journals and conference proceedings. He has also led and participated in numerous national and international research projects, development industry-academia collaboration, and promoting sustainable energy practices.
Currently, Muzathik is involved in the Training Hub for Renewable Energy Technologies in Sri Lanka (THREE-Lanka) project, co-financed by the European Commission under Erasmus+ Key Action 2: Capacity Building for Higher Education (Project No. 619309-EPP-1-2020-1-LK-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP).
